X-ray then, x-ray now.

Röentgen first tested out the x-ray with a vacuum tube, over time other scientists wanted to know if using a different type of tube or changing the design of it would affect the way the x-ray would work. The many scientists did try changing the designs of the tubes but so far the main idea of the x-ray stayed the same.

Radium was discovered by Marie Curie and Pierre Curie. Radium was a new element that produced 200,000,000 more times radiation than another element, uranium. Radium's shine (rays) was also discovered to be harmful to skin.

| Modern eye protection goggles |
Eye protection goggles were used to protect the eye. Over time, higher electric potential x-rays were being made. Certain types of x-rays were being used for given types of cancers. Ultrasound was soon discovered as well, ultrasounds are pictures that are formed when a response of sound waves. All of these effected the x-ray, impacting what the x-ray can do, and what it did to make over the history and improvement of medical care.
